follistim vs. gonal f and OHSS

| I have PCOS and was on gonal-f last cycle and ended up canceling the cycle due to OHSS. Now my RE is putting me on follistim instead. I know there isn't supposed to be a difference, but they said they can control the follistim dosage better. Did anyone else do this? Was follistim better at preventing OHSS while still giving you a few follicles? |

| did IVF cycles with both medications and did not see a big difference. |
