Bethesda Hair Salon Recommendation?

Anonymous
Does anyone have a salon and stylist they recommend? I have fairly easy straight hair. Thanks!

I like Lon at Aveda. I'm one of those people that gets her hair cut 3 times a year and doesn't really bother styling it the other 362 days. She gives me something cute and understands that I have zero time for maintenance. I also have straight hair, no bangs.

That sounds great, thanks. We sound like we have the same style!

I'm the PP - Just to warn you - Lon is a bit expensive. With tip it usually costs me close to $80 or $90. I figure since I only go every now and then, it's worth it. But the first time I went, I was a bit surprised. Some of the other stylists at Aveda might be a bit cheaper, but none of them is truly inexpensive.

I really like Rit over at Citrine (it's across from the Bradley's shopping center). I've had my hair done (I had it straightened there, then cuts afterward) by a few people there and loved them all.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was looking for recommendations on here and scheduled an appointment with Lon at Aveda yesterday. I have to say that I LOVE my cut. Every time I go to a new stylist, I say that I don't want short layers and every time they say that they are going to "soften it up" or somesuch. And I walk out with short layers.

Lon didn't do it! She listened to what I wanted- a true "wash and wear" look, and I got it! She even showed me how the hair would look with no styling before giving me the blow-out. She charged $90, but I think it is well worth it, because likethe PP I only get a cut three times a year or so.

I second the recommendation for Rit at Citrine. He does beautiful color. I have very straight baby-fine shoulder length hair and he cuts just enough layer to give a little body without much effort. And I don't do much effort.

How much does Rit charge for hair color?

I've never done just color - its always color and cut -- $185 + tip.
