Aetna Federal Basic vs. Standard?

Will Aetna Federal Basic plan cover IVF at the same rate as the more expensive Standard plan? I think it is like a 300 dollar difference per month (family plan)!

Also, does anyone know what Aetna's coverage for acupuncture is?

We had the cheaper plan and IVF was covered at 50%. If I recall correctly, when we were investigating last year, there was no real difference between the two plans with regards to fertility treatments. However, you sould not take my word for it. Call Aetna, usually they are very helpful.

There is no difference in the infertility benefits. The only difference between the 2 plans is the hospitalization. With the standard plan you only pay 150.00 per day/hospitalization vs. 10%.

No difference in fertility coverage. The main difference is for hospitalization benefits, including to deliver a baby.
