Obama. A bust.

Beware predictions of Presidential Power. After the 2004 election, Bush said "Let me put it to you this way: I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it. It is my style".

It didn't go well. This is what Republicans and Democrats had to say six months later: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/30/AR2005053000891.html

On the other hand, Reagan was at a historic low at this point in time. His approval numbers were in the tank compared to Obama. And we all know how he came roaring out of that trough.

In the case of Obama, he got most of what he wanted in the first 18 months of his term, and the economy is going to improve in the next two years.

The difference is that Obama needs to be loved. Once people start making fun of him like they did Reagan and Bush he will get mad. Liberals hate to be laughed at because they take themselves so seriously. Conservative Presidents have to go through a much tougher press and pop culture gauntlet which prepares them to be tougher more emotionally stable and able to laugh at themselves.

Oh, for Pete's sake. Reagan was an actor. IF you think actors don't want the world to love them, you have a screw loose.

Yes, and this is why W surrounded himself with a bunch of yes men. As I recall he had an unbelievably thin skin.

One thing Bush has is thick skin...nobody has taken more abuse, and he has not one bad word to say about Obama or any of his political enemies. If he was like Obama, he would have blamed the former Clinton administration for leaving the Bin-Laden issue for him with all the military cuts, roll back of the CIA, and walls set upetween agencies but he did no such thing. Bush is unbelievably comfortable with himself...I personally think its a quality that drives other people crazy, but not him.

I Don't see any Bush quote blaming Clinton for 911. They are quoting John Ashcroft...who was fired. Obama personally blames Bush for everything and It is constant.. it is part of almost every speech for the last 3 years, before and after becoming President. I had forgotten that Clinton left the economy in a recession and our defence/anti-terrorism forces in such a disfunctional state. There is nothing wrong with the occasional mention of prior policies and their negative effects but thats different than saying...the prior administration drove the car in the ditch and I (the adult) need to take away the keys which Is the predominant theme of the Obama administration. Now that it turns out that Obama is Like an infant driving the car and he is called out on it and laughed at. I expect him to sulk or have a temper tantrum. Since because he throws like a girl, bowls a 36 and needs a teleprompter to speak to schoolchildren, his wife says he smells terrible in the morning and he is a rigid leftist with a correspondingly weak sense of humor hss no extended family, has no real friends, had an insufficiant resume and preparation to be President, I expect things to get ugly.

He also apparently has no deep faith; which can be a real handicap as his problems mount.

Pp, that is so true how uncoordinated Obama appears to be. I also noticed how he can't throw a ball and kept throwing the bowling ball into the gutter! I also notice he wore mom jeans pulled up to his belly button when "throwing" out the first pitch. Have you noticed they say he plays golf but they never show him playing? I bet that would be hilarious. Same thing for his "basketball" games I have seen him standing and shooting but not actually playing a game. I bet that is hilarious too! What we have here is an uncoordinated african american who dresses like a nerd (tell me SNL can't work with that!).

Ha Ha...Obama is Erkel...and even Erkel is actually coordinated in real life!

Do you live in a cabin, where you are writing a manifesto? And your obsession with hygiene and graphic depictions of sex are so frequent that they suggest mental illness.

I just think it's funny that Michelle said Obama smells so bad in the morning that his kids won't come in the room. What's wrong with that?
Anonymous
And what graphic depictions of sex? Clinton said that as long as it can't produce a baby, it technically isn't sex. Perversion maybe, but not sex. I would never graphically depict something as sacred as sex!
