OPK question

I was traveling on Monday so I couldn't use an OPK. On Tuesday afternoon, got the smiley face. Tested again on Wednesday -- and no smiley face. Does that mean I ovulated on Wednesday? Or could I still ovulate on Thursday? I get very little cervical fluid so I can't just go by that. Thanks...

OPKs only tell you when you are having your LH surge, which precedes ovulation. Ovulation then occurs anywhere from 12-36 hours later. Your surge can also last sometimes for 2 days. So, you really could have ovulated anywhere between Tue and today.
The best way to confirm ovulation, outside of getting an u/s and b/w done, is to take your temp every day. The pattern of your temps will reflect ovulation. www.fertilityfriend.com is a great site to use. |
