Why is testing not part of the reopening plan?

Why aren’t you already doing that?

No need to be a jerk about it. I just didn’t know what kind of free-for-all is happening here. I’ll go ahead and start reporting unsubstantiated covid information.

I’m not being a jerk. But I guess I’m just surprised that I’m the only person reporting dis-information, bashing, Covid lies etc. I thought more were doing to.

The only things I’ve ever noticed that were deleted were comments about a certain group that shall not be named, and just abject bashing. I haven’t seen any bonkers covid post get taken down.

You are not the only person, but the one person you were speaking to wasn't doing it until now.

So, things like "delta will lead to debilitating lifelong illness"....should be reported as misinformation, yes? As is "delta will kill a lot of kids". I am being genuine here. There's no way to prove the veracity of those statements now, and therefore they seem like misinformation.

Now, worded differently both statements are fine.

Wheeeew. Now that we have heard from the other thread that like 200 kids are sent home for 10 days with one positive, we really shouldn't have testing.

This is insanity.

I encourage you to opt out of testing for your child, particularly if they are vaccinated.

Agree. No testing for my kids, we aren't going to contribute to this mess. We'll live cautiously as we have since spring 2020, but we'll only test when we have Covid symptoms.

Same. We won't send our kids in when they exhibit symptoms -- we will have them tested independently. But otherwise, nope.

I was on the fence, but if this is how they're handling it, I'm not testing.

No testing here either

We'll proudly test early and often, as good school citizens and my kid will continue to casually mention who got tested each time, and chit chat about which kids never have and why. The sociopathic covid apathy doesn't go unnoticed by kids or parents.

I gladly stay away from the Stasi types.

If it's random testing, you won't know why, and some kids may never get tested. But, I guess it's fun to judge kids for that.
