Travel teams now 4-5 teams deep? Is this for real?

Segregated? What a bizarre assumption. All are welcome to those teams should you find them. But like other teams, they’ll take only the kids who are good, regardless of race/nationality. We’ve played many all white teams. Does that mean they are a segregated team?

A rec team that will only take good players? That’s...not a thing. Rec teams belong to leagues. Which hold drafts or assign teams.

Ah, I didn’t see that the PP was talking about rec teams. No, there are a lot of mostly Latino teams who play travel. So all kids play, but some will be invited to play on an EDP team and others, on a team that participates in a rec.

Right, and what is the goal? My child started out on the 5th team, improved over time, and now is on the 2nd team. It took years, and he is not one of the best players on the 2nd team, but he is absolutely much better than his former self. So I think he did ok.

I'm disgusted by it. There needs to be regulation imposed to reign in this abhorrent behavior. The sooner we address the elephant in the room (pun intended) and rid the world of those that do this stuff, the better off we're gonna be.

Based on what are you "sure almost all if not all are all American?" They obviously live in America, since they are playing on a team here, yes. But are they citizens, illegal immigrants, first generation, second etc? Likely a mix.
