Can someone explain this one? I am Russian but lived here for a long time. Tons of Russians are afraid of the vaccines 'I think' due to the general distrust in their government and healthcare system.
Assuming the Russian government is behind the international anti-vaxx movement, why would they target their own population?

I think it's quaint that you think the Russian disinformation apparatus cares about the Russian people. But the end goal is not for people not to vaccinate - that's a side effect. The goal is to undermined public trust in institutions and sow discord.
