What is the most annoying/difficult age of kid to have during this?

Not really. A 4.5 year old is pretty self sufficient and a 6 month old can't really get around much but is usually consolidating sleep. 6 mo is kind of the easiest baby time.

I have a 2.5 and 4.5 year old. It's damn hard and will be worse when DH returns to the office on Monday. Why isn't his office closing? He works in finance, can do his entire job from home.

Another one here with a 2.5 and 4.5 year old (two very active boys) and this is MISERABLE. The toddler is stir crazy and cries over everything. My 4 y/o wants me to play with him constantly even though I’m still working from home full time. They fight with each other, whine, make messes, etc. I love them so very much and that is the only thing getting me through this. I just want to stay as upbeat as I can for them. But man, DH and I are drowning. Two full time jobs + 2 kids under 5 isn’t compatible.

I’ve been hysterical multiple times This week, but that sounds very tough too. I am sorry.

Np. I’d say ages 2-5 as they probably have the hardest time understanding “why”. Plus a lot of them drop the nap. It’s either that or a kid with mental disabilities that relies heavily on the routine of school or a 1:1

My kids are 7 and 5. They are independent and play very well with each other. The 5 year old comes to Mama for intermittent hugs and kisses. They can play from morning to evening. They can do arts and crafts for hours.

Additionally, because classroom learning is not as essential at this age, we can do as much or as little "official" work as they are interested in. I think reading will be good enough for some days.

Hearing them running and laughing all day is melting my heart. And we are sharing our taste in music with each other in the evenings.

Joining you (quietly, so as not to annoy others) in this. Mine are 6 and 8 and I am feeling so grateful to have these ages under these circumstances. They're only surfacing for snacks.

Mine are 4 and 6 and it's definitely not the most annoying or difficult.

We are in the same boat. 4 year old and 22 months. I cannot imagine working from home and watching them for a month!
