3 celebs you don't 'get'/3 who are underrated

+1 Winter’s Bone...amazing acting.

Don’t understand the Kardashians, so gross and stupid. Underrated are comedians who can play serious roles like nobody’s business - Steve Carrell, Jim Carey, Bill Murray, e.g.

A true talented voice cannot survive on their talent only.

They need to have a certain look or style to go along w/their talent.

Anyone remember Milli Vanilli?
The guy who sang for them could never have achieved fame + fortune on his voice alone.
He wasn’t attractive enough to sing professionally even though he had a good voice.
Thus Milli Vanilli.

Anonymous wrote:Three Celebs I Don’t Get:
• Ed Sheeran.
He does not have the looks to be as famous as he is.

• Taylor Swift.
While her singing + appearance are “so so,” I don’t see why she is so famous and so rich.
She does not have an extraordinary voice (a ‘la Ariana or even Leona Lewis!) plus she has zero sex appeal.

• Giselle.
Yes, her body is perfect, but I think she has a horse face.
Sarah Jessica Parker too.
Good models should have great faces too.
Like GiGi Hadid.
Even Kendall Jenner looks like a young, Ali McGraw who was a great muse in her prime.

Three Most Underrated:
• Pete Davidson.
He is so cute & so funny, but he also is such a jack#%#.
Especially recently in FLA.
He is responsible for his own demise if he doesn’t shape up his attitude + ego stat.

• John Grisham.
He is the greatest writer on the planet.
But I think some people have issues w/his liberal viewpoints.

• Smoky the Bear.
He has been discussing and cautioning people on fire safety for generations.
He was definitely before his time.

I don’t get your comment about Ed Sheeran. He’s a musician. Do you watch music or listen to it?

yeah, I don't know where all the criticism for Ed Sheeran is coming from. I like his music and think his videos have been very well done. The choreography on Talking Out Loud was just beautiful.

To clarify, I think KP can't really sing but she looks the part. That's why she has been so successful - her looks.

Underrated:
Justin Timberlake (as an actor, but overrated as a singer)
Clive Owen
Jake Gyllenhaal
Maggie Gyllenhaal

Overrated:
Kardashyan pips

Ed Sheeran is proving this isn’t the case anymore. Most ppl are ugly, so they appreciate not every star being gorgeous.

I cant come up with three for each, but I would like to see Chris O'Dowd in more comedies.

*Some* singers rely on their looks.

But this doesn’t mean *all* singers need to rely on their looks. Many are successful based on their voice alone.

I also wouldn’t hold Milli Vanilli as the standard of fame and fortune.

Don't get:

Natasha Lyonne
Billie Eilish
Lizzo (her voice is terrible)
Benedict Cumberbatch (he's hideous)

Underrated:
Joshua Jackson

I don't think Ed Sheeran is ugly at all. He looks like an average guy. Not model handsome, but he has a friendly face and he works out. He also has a nice voice. Cut the guy some slack.

Did you watch him in "Juliet Naked", starring Ethan Hawke and the aforementioned underrated Rose Byrne? It wasn't a great role or movie but I still found it charming.

I enjoy his voice but he still looks like a muppet. If that’s average to you then we simply have different taste.

I could never quite put my finger on it, but you are so right, he does look like a mupppet. I also think his hair always looks slightly damp in that sweaty kind of way which grosses me out.
