| We could live on one of our incomes and could do without the other. It would be more painful to go without my spouse's check because he makes more but my salary covers our bills - vacations, discretionary spending and saving for retirement would get affected. House is paid for and education for kids is already in 529 accounts. |

I'm on rover and make a ton of money dog sitting and dog walking. If I didn't have to work a day job, I could take on more pets, even temporarily.
Lots of people have second jobs. |

Missing one paycheck would be a hardship for me.
Missing two paychecks would be a really big deal. Yes, we have some cash savings... right now about two month's mortgage, food, gas and utilities. We do also have some cash savings for our children's college funds which we could easily tap if need be. But I would hate to have to do that. |
