I saw ppl saying earlier that they received acceptance letter with 2 school options to choose..

So a little confused

Yes it will say your choices are the center or staying at base with level III

Yes I believe this is correct. Ours actually had 4 choices (we are currently out of bounds for immersion) -

Level IV center school
Base school which offers level IV
Current school at level III
Decline all

I imagine if your base school doesn't have Level IV your choices be center, base w/ level III, or decline.

Ok. Does this mean here base school and current schools are different ?

I posted above and ours are different. We attend an out of bounds school for immersion. Our in bounds school offers local level IV so we have the option to go back there for level IV.

If you're already at your in bounds school and they offer level IV you'll get the choice of that or a center. If your in bounds is a center you'll just get that choice. If your in bounds school doesn't offer level IV all you'll be offered is a center.

Thank you for patiently explaining. It is my first child going thru this process so not familiar with all the info.
So our school doesn't offer Level 4, therefore it will be a center only option.

Did u so the teacher about the reading level and math or did u get that from the packet? How can I find out if DC is in Level II?

Congrats to all who’ve been accepted!

You would have been notified at the end of K for 1st grade and at the end of 1st for second grade if your kid was eligible for Level II services. And you have to sign a letter consenting to the services.

Is this available at every school? My child's reading level was the highest in the class for K and 1 st and I never heard of this

Our school did not do level 2 services for 1st and 2nd. Everything depeds on the principal

Near as I can tell, there is no uniformity in how anything is handled, within fCPS.

For what it's worth, my child was supposedly Level II services for math and language arts, and I never got any notifications of what that entailed, any customized progress reports, etc. As far as I could tell, there was no difference between the instruction she received and the rest of her classmates. I definitely wouldn't spend any time worrying about whether your school offers Level II services.

Are rejection letters posted from a different address than acceptance letters? Can someone post the zip code on the postal stamp and the result ( in or not)?

People seem to have mixed feelings, but I thought Dr. Diana Dahlgren was great. She administered the WISC to my DC last year and was very efficient. She's also really good about responding quickly if you email her.

How long does it take to get a WISC result?
