Things people say that annoys you...

This doesn't come up often, but when people pronounce cumin as "COOMIN" - it may very well be correct but it bothers the crap out of me.

Using "grown ups" for "adults" when speaking to an adult audience (and actually it's annoying when used for children's benefit, too, as they can understand what an adult is, too).

I like "grown up" for kids, is "Where is your grown up?" Adult strikes me more of a descriptive term -- "adult" beverage, "adult" movie, etc.

I hate when people say "I love me some _____"

I'm sorry you feel that way- it is the biggest non-apology/ invalidation.

I hate when people say "butthurt". I don't even know if it's supposed to be one word or two. I just know I hate to hear the term. Where did it even come from? Super annoying.

Have not heard this one. Can you provide an example of how it is used?

The use of 'super' to describe the word 'annoying' is very annoying and valley girl sounding.
