Package does not necessarily arrive the same day. It depends on the mail carrier.

Good luck to everyone this afternoon

I felt pretty confident about my kids’ applications up until this morning. I know they will be fine and rejection is a part of life, but the irrational side of me feels as if it is my fault if they don’t get accepted anywhere.

Do they all post at 4??? Not earlier?

Yes, they are not supposed to post before 4, though I guess they can call. The 4 pm notification is part of local school association guidelines, as is the Feb 27 date.

Yes. It’s f’d up when they keep giving you all those reminders and you get rejected

Did others get this call from Holton? We applied and did not get this phone call.

We did but we are a legacy family. They made it clear that they make these calls to legacy families only ahead of the official decisions release date. Hang on tight and best of luck to m your daughter !

Is a call a good thing?

I mean, it was a call to let us know that our DD is getting in, but they stated they make them to legacy families only.

What is plan B? Both are obviously great but even the most incredible students are long shots (depending on grade)?

Apply our from public school or k-8? High school?

Applied from local public for MS and US. Plan B is to stay in public (they are in AAP). We applied for smaller classes and a more balanced curriculum.

Same! I think our kid is fabulous and a very good fit for their top choice, so I will inevitably blame myself (Did I rub someone the wrong way? Do people dislike us? Etc.) even though it could be the luck of the draw when it comes down to it. Hang in there. It’ll all work out as it should, accepted or not.

Good luck everyone! We aren’t applying this year, but I remember the stress, worry and anticipation! Rooting for all your kids!
