Good god. Are you 14? He “does things” because he breaks the law or “fixes” something that he broke himself then renames it and tells you he’s a genius. Democracy is slow because power is shared and there are checks and balances. Grow up. |
Republicans throw a fit. An absolute fit when Dem presidents do things that are just 1% of the profanties that Trump has committed in the name of "getting things done." Just look at how they had apoplectic fits when Obama or Bdien tried to "get things done." |
Even instigating school shooting .. |
Not unless her toddler is a giant fat @ss. |
It sounds like they were killed sometime between Conan's party and the next morning. Nick was arrested at Exposition Park, 20 miles from a hotel where he had checked in for the night. The room was found with blood in the shower and on the bed. I assume he went there to clean up, but got distracted and wanted to go find some drugs. |

If I were Trump I would issue an apology to the public…..especially toward Rob Reiner’s family.
What a cold, heartless and cruel remark to make - not even 24 hours after news broke of this tragic and brutal murder. Will the American people get an apology? Not likely. I cannot wait until we get a President who actually behaves like a President should. A President should lead by example. I.e., be a role model, a leader, etc. |
Has anyone come out yet and publicly defend what Trump said?? I would be interested to know…….. |
And a job! |
This. The Republican party is full of absolute hypocrites who would have absolute hissy fits if Trump's name were replaced with Biden on many ridiculous things Trump has done from his crypto schemes to his real estate fraud to his disgusting tweets (see Rob Reiner) to hos forgiving of Signal gate and on and on and on and on.... I have been considering starting a thread about everything under Trump that Republicans forgive but would scream about if you literally took the same info and replaced Trump's name with a Democrat. |
Markwayne Mullin did on an interview with CNN: Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) appeared on CNN on or around December 15, 2025, where he defended President Trump's Truth Social post about Rob Reiner's death. He described Trump's comments as not controversial and even respectful:"I don't think they're controversial. Because he was respectful to him, said he was once a really good actor and all that..." He acknowledged the political differences: "...pointed out the fact that he didn’t like him at all, but wished him, you know, ended the text fine." Mullin downplayed the backlash: "You guys make out at what you want. I didn’t think it was distasteful at all. It’s no secret, the guy does not like President Trump. President Trump went up and still did it in a very nice way." This stance contrasted sharply with other Republicans who criticized Trump's post as inappropriate or disrespectful. |

While some murders and acts of violence are definitely about politics, as far as I have seen so far, these tragic murders in the Reiner family were not about politics at all.
Mental illness and addiction. If anyone knows how any country has ever been able to solve these problems completely, I'd love to read. And not just some stuff like countries making official statements like, "there are no gay people here" which everyone knows objectively cannot be true. You can't legislate against humanity. Until, I guess, you try to, and even then you actually can't. |
| Just remember that regular people - not presidents - got fired for saying things that were a lot more charitable following the death of Charlie Kirk. Where are all the conservative pearl clutchers calling for humanity now? |
What is the point of this post? What are you even responding to? |

More criticism of Trump from the Right:
*National Review (considered America's leading conservative publication): “Yes, we must talk about what President Trump posted on Truth Social about the brutal murders of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, and how Trump doubled down when asked about it Monday afternoon. We must talk about it because a lot of Americans are embarrassed by the president, and for the president, and a whole lot of Americans would prefer to avert their eyes and pretend it didn’t happen. But it did happen. We must talk about it because there are some Americans still so blinded by partisan animus and cult-like loyalty that their first instinct will be to defend the president’s remarks.” *David Urban (a former Trump advisor during his first term): “My condolences go out to the Reiner family. It’s a terrible tragedy that they’ve suffered here and the president’s tweets, his Truth Social post, is indefensible by anybody. I don’t know how anyone can defend it.” |
