Students who want degrees in engineering routinely skip JMU. If JMU wants those students, then it needs to open an engineering school that offers specific engineering degrees. GMU already did that.

What are the criteria? JMU still has a better reputation. My kids have no interest in GMU, it's still primarily a commuter school and they want a real college experience.

Good grief, what an immature pissing contest. I have kids at both JMU and VT and both are having terrific experiences - both academically and socially. Grow up.

How is social life at W&M?

It’s a small school in a small town that only has colonial museums for fun and a very geriatric pool of tourists that come through.
