Government is the historical standout. Bowdoin's environmental studies program isn't nearly as robust as Middlebury's.

I liked it the best of any of the SLACs we toured. Pretty campus, good town, emphasis on quality of life. Students seemed better looking than at other SLACs?

A jewel for those who seek the liberal arts undergrad experience, in an idyllic setting for 4 years, with smart, dedicated faculty.

Nope, a mom. I wasn’t trying to be gross nor was that why I liked Bowdoin, but it was a genuine observation. I suspected at the time it might relate to their use of videos from applicants. It was striking to me. My kid didn’t apply - in part because the kids had a glossy polish and it didn’t seem like a fit.
