Plus, everybody knows 5’3” would be a devastating height for an adult man. It is what it is. I know some very successful short men. All white and asian There are lots of successful short men. But 5’3” is really short for a man. And it will impact his life. But being super tall also impacts one’s life. Dating will be hard. He will likely be quite self conscious about it. Society favors height. |
| How big are his feet? What shoe size? He may grow about 3 inches this year if they are big and his body hasn’t caught up yet. |
In your case, you are taller than your husband |
It's not a desired height, but it is not devastating. At my former DOJ office, I worked with a guy who is 5'3". He was married to a woman slightly shorter than him, had a good job. Again, I am not saying any guy desires 5'3" as his adult height, but it isn't "devastating." |
Nope. DH is the 6’ parent. |
+1 Devastating is so dramatic. |
Yes, but 5’8” in a woman is taller than 6’ in a man. I believe the difference between men and women is 5” (on average). If your DD took after DH she should be 5’7” and shorter than you. If you had a son and he took after you, his expected height would be 6’1” |
When doctors said she was done growing she pretty much was. None of them would be shocked at a 1/2”. And since she got her period so young it makes sense she finished virtually all her growing within 2 years. |
Central Americans, Latinos, Mexicans—yes. Demo has brought height average down in the US |
It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem. It’s me. -Latina, 5’ even |

Is that only when the parents are tall? Seems irresponsible to give growth hormones to a boy whose mother is 4’10” and father is 5’5” because 5’4” or less is very reasonable in that case. |
Would you mind sharing which doctor? |
The average height for Mexican men are 5”7”. Women are 5’2” as an average. They aren’t one of the shortest countries. These countries listed below are the shortest and consist of mostly of Asian with some African countries and Guatemala. .. The top15 countries with the shortest people… Timor-Leste men average 5’3”, about the same as Laos and Madagascar. Guatemalan men average 5’4.5”, similar to Phillippines men. Men from Bangladesh and Cambodia are both about 5’4.5”, Indonesia, Malawi and Rwanda men are about 5’4” also. India and Vietnam have the same averages with men being almost 5’5”. We have a lot of immigrants from all of these countries who are very successful. With such a variety of different builds and heights in the US I don’t understand the obsession with being over six feet. |
So what? I know a son of a 6’0 dad and 5’0 mom who ended up at 5’4”. His brother is 6’1”. some one has to end up at the bottom of the distribution. |
Where did she say the first endo didn’t answer all her questions and why do you think that end had a poor bedside manner? |
