| Yeah! I'm bored at home |
| Wish the conservatives would go protest against the pedophile priests hiding inside their churches |
We’re a two mom household and want our son to have fun celebrating his family and others like his. |

Just got back from Pride with my kids. It was very tame, but VERY crowded. Lots of give aways which were super cute. A few people were dressed a bit over the top, but mostly it was very family friendly. There was a wonderful drag show/dance that my kids loved.
Highly recommend as family activity next year. |
| My kid's teacher talked about Pride month and read a book or two, so I feel covered. Our schedule is pretty hectic but if we are able to make something we will go. |
It's all for IG, obviously. |
| Nope. Kids are all little and I do not want to go to a big crowded parade with them. Also, where I live the pride parade in our city definitely has more of a party vibe with a lot of drunk 20 somethings in attendance. More power to them but I’m fine with my kids skipping it. |
What does that mean? |
| PP from the first page who said I was going to Takoma Pride. We did and had a great time. I would definitely recommend to parents of little kids. Definitely very age appropriate and low key. |
What did your kids love about the drag show? Honest question. I've seen a couple and the queens didn't do anything that would have held the interest of a child. Men in garish makeup and bad wigs and sequin dresses just posing and singing. They could at least do some cool magic tricks or clown gags. |
It means the kinds of parents who drag their kids to these events are just doing it so they can post about it on social media to show people how progressive they are. Same at drag queen story hour. As if kids really want a dude in a dress reading them a corny ass book in a corny ass indie book store. It aint for the kids. |
I’m the PP, a gay mom who doesn’t use social media. Why is it so hard to believe that we would want to take our kid to a festival that celebrates gay families like his? You’re so cynical and social media obsessed I feel bad for you. |

We are a 2 mom family but my wife was working so I went with a friend and my 10yo. It was super crowded by 17th street but we walked a few blocks away and found an area on 16th by the circle that was great. We were right at the barrier to see the parade and it wasn’t crowded.
No men in leather, no leashes, yes there were drag queens belting out Lady Gaga…. It was fun. No regrets taking my kid. |
