Did you watch last season? |
Have they decided on the price to sell? I really appreciate your response. |
Willa seems like a major B.
I don't think she's going to do better than Connor They're transactional. Might as well embrace that. Her problem is in her mind, she's a playwright trapped in a prostitute But actually she's a lazy, terrible playwright and actually a very good prostitute. |
Um, did you watch any of season 3? Especially the season finale? |
I read on twitter:
Kerry wanting to be an ATN talking head was not on my Succession bingo card. Dead. |
Isn't Connor another Roy man who can't perform? |
So many choice lines from last night:
Let's all follow the dot. It'll be fun. Put it on the big screen. Congrats on getting your betrayal cherry popped. I will take you apart like a human string cheese. This is like if homework was a show. I'm a plant that grows on rocks and lives off insects that die inside of me. -thank you to PPs for explaining where the show is with the business deals. I have watched all seasons but I honestly find the business details a little boring so I tune out. This was a great family dynamics episode. I've been re-watching Season 2 with my oldest kid and it's a great review of the Pierce deal and why the kids getting Pierce now is such a big coup. Really great stuff with Connor. Sad, but he seems to have the best sense of his position in the family even if he doesn't have the psychological strength to break away from it. The siblings being late to the rehearsal and then spending his wedding eve on business/fighting with their dad while he's a spectator in his own life was just really sad. I didn't know what to take from Willa being home and in bed when Connor thought she might have left him. she seems to have some level of affection for Connor. I wonder if they will turn out happy after all. I also am predicting a twist - Marcia is most definitely not shopping in Milan forever. |
That’s Roman. |
Kerry is tedious. I’d be happy to see the last of her.
I love all the subtle textural elements of the actors’ performances. Sometimes an eyebrow raise or slight tilt of the head has me dead! |
+1 on Kerry. I thought the anchor audition was hilarious and the actress did a good job with that, but otherwise I find her delivery really flat and I don't think she's the source of tension that the show wants her to be, because she has zero chemistry with Logan and the kids are so much more interesting and funny when they interact with her. So she just feels like a non-entity. I think the issue is that she is not given enough to do other then look serious and severe and show up in places where everyone kind of wishes she wasn't. Regarding the thing about actor's reactions, I remember reading about how the show is shot a couple years ago, and this is a filmmaking technique they use a lot, where they will keep a camera on characters who are not actually in dialogue or the focus of the scene, just to see how they react and see if there is anything they want to include. It's clever and it pulls you in while also being disorienting. I think it also forces the actors to work harder because they never know when the camera might be on them, and they have to really stay present and in character when they shoot these scenes. |
I thought last night's episode was so much better than the first one.
The business stuff IS confusing, I think because it is so repetitive. I try not to think about it too much and just concentrate on the characters. |
I thought the show was loosely based on Murdoch and Fox? Has it ever been rumored he or his sons dated female “assistants” before they were put on TV? |
Logan’s speech on the ATN floor is based on Murdoch doing the same thing at WSJ (even stood on boxes of paper). |
Season 3 premiered October 2021. Season 2 was August 2019 and Season 1 was June 2018. My sincere apologies for not remembering what happened on the season finale of season 3. I also tune out a lot of the business side of the show and focus on the characters, I'm SO sorry about that. |
We re-watched in preparation for the final season. You have to do your homework. |
