High Fashion in your 50s

Those are some seriously hideous pants. I can't believe people actually want to wear something called ELEPHANT pants! An animal known more for it's bulk and weight rather than sleekness and grace. If that's high fashion, then I'm glad I am 'drab'. Better than looking ridiculous! I wonder if all the folks swooning over these pants actually like them, or they're saying that just because a social influencer says they're now fashionable.

Influencers do play a role in "influencing" fashion. Also, Nicole Kidman is more than a "social influencer" and absolutely people follow her lead.

These are intentionally exaggerated visions we're looking at for influencers, celebrities, and rock stars... The toned down version is what is meant for most. This cut is actually flattering, too, here is a more wearable example:

They are both brand ambassadors for Balenciaga. Stylists have dressed Nicole this way to promote the brand. I certainly doubt Nicole Kidman picked this outfit out for herself! I think it makes her look older.

I'm in my mid 50's and I wore elephant pants in the late 70's. I remember them being all the rage.

I'm in my mid 50's and I wore elephant pants in the late 70's. I remember them being all the rage.
