My nine month old has white cheesy looking stuff on the insides of his cheeks - does this sound like thrush to anyone out there?
What can expect the treatment of this to be? |
|
Yup. I don't know how it is treated inside the mouth, because that's not a place for putting fungicide.
Call your dr and lactation consultant (if still nursing), because it is contageous. Meanwhile, some plain yogurt (not commercial crap, but something that lists the cultures) for you both. |
| They treat the baby with Nystatin. Technically I think they are suppossed to swish and spit it out but it doesn't really work wiht a baby. |
| My daughter had it when she was 4 months. They give oral Nystatin. |

OP here - and I have pain in my breast, which I guess means that I have it too.
What will they do for me? We are both eating yogurt - DS is nine months old and loves it! |
| We were given oral nystatin for db (applied with a q-tip to the inside of the mouth) and Diflucan for me. |
Same here. |
