I hate using the follistim pen! When I'm getting ready to inject myself and holding the pen, I can't seem to stop the medicine drops from forming on the end of the needle. Anyone else have this problem? Also, I just finished my first cartridge and there appeared to be medicine left in the cartridge even though I injected all the way to "0". Now, I'm wondering if I gave myself the proper dose or not. I really wish I could just give this medicine as a straight injection without the pen.

Do not panic the cartridges are overfilled so if you had some left over it's OK.

Yeah, neither of those things are worth worrying about. A few drops is NOT a big deal. And the cartridges are really overfilled. If you want to be frugal, you can draw the remaining out with another needle and use!

I got an extra day's dose by sucking out the left over stuff from 3 vials, they really are overfilled.

ditto what everyone else says -- they're overfilled. obviously, save the cartridges and your doctor can combine them. you can get 1-2 more doses that way.
