I am 34 weeks and the baby continues to become more and more active. I feel like things are so unstable down there and sometimes I feel like he is so close to my cervix that he could come flying out. I thought I read that activity level would decrease as he gets bigger as there is not a lot of room to move. Also, last night I had what I thought was scare of preterm labor (BH contractions about 15-20 minutes apart, mild aching back pain, etc.). I was fine after drinking 3 glasses of water and sleeping it off.
Are these normal symptoms? |
Probably in the realm of normal, but be sure to tell your OB during your appoitments and call if you are freaked out. I know they say the baby moves less in the last weeks, but i remember with my first that I felt alot too. I think sometimes that they actually may move less, but their movements are much stronger and incredibly noticable. I definitely remember being woken up a lot and having fears that I was going into labor. Good luck! |
I'm 38 weeks and my baby is still moving a lot. It's a different kind of movement - not really kicking, but more like shifting positions a lot. My doctor said that was totally normal. |
Same here - I'm almost 39 weeks and the baby is still moving around a lot, sometimes kicks/punches, sometimes more waves of movement. I had read and heard the same thing (that they move less later on) and frankly, it has been super comforting to me to see and feel the continued movement. I also am convinced at times that the baby is going to pop through my skin or that her head is about to pop out down there, but I think it's normal to feel that way, especially if it's your first. |
