Kent Gardens class sizes

Is it true KG has some of the largest class sizes in FCPS? Do you feel like the teachers can handle such a big class? Any chance of class size decreasing next year?

Size actually decreased this year.

I was told at an IEP meeting last spring that they were expecting 27-28 in the K's classes.

So then do they have teacher's helpers for these classes?

Yes, every Kinder in ffx county has a teacher and an instructional aide.

You can find this data on the fairfax county website. Other schools such as Spring Hill and Chesterbrook and Haycock are huge also.

Churchill elementary, not Chesterbrook, is about the same size as KG.

Spring Hill is a huge school too.

I couldn't find the info on the dashboard, but here are the student:full time equivalent teacher ratios

Franklin Sherman: 17
Westbriar: 19
Wolftrap: 22
Archer: 33
