Someone told me that they thought that Sidwell was the best school in the world

Seriously, this person lives in a tiny world! To her, there is no equivalent school anywhere, not in NY, MD, VA, MA, CA, Europe, India, China,...no where.
What causes this kind of obsessional thinking? Are we mad?
BTW, this woman does not have kids at Sidwell. She has two kids in MCPS. One got into Sidwell for either 6th or 7th grade, but she could not afford to send her there, so the child is still in public school.

I would try to give her the benefit of the doubt that she meant it was the best school in the world for her child. ?? But no, I don't understand that mentality at all. No school is best for everything and everyone. It's just impossible.

I would naturally assume it was a casual hyperbole, and that she did not actually mean it literally.
