ISO - a place to get a good latte in Potomac

Hi,

When I lived in San Francisco Bay Area, there were so many places to get a good latte.
However, now I live in Potomac, there's only one Starbucks near my house and there's always a long long line.
If you know any good place to get a latte besides Starbucks in Potomac Village, please let me know. Thanks!

potomac is known for 2 plus acre lot sizes, not proximity to latte bars

where in potomac do you live? it is a huge place so you could be close to rockville town square, park potomac, etc.

Thanks for your response.
I live very close to Potomac Village (River Road and Persimmon Tree Road).
I used to live in McLean right after I moved from California.
Just in general, it's hard to find any coffee shop in both areas.

You can also try Vie de France next to Rite Aid. Personally, I'd wait in the Starbucks line!

Have you tried Google map's search function and then see if there are any yelp reviews?

OP- are you me? I live in Potomac and I used to live in SF and Seattle and was accustomed to fabulous coffee houses. The only place I have found that makes an excellent latte is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel coffee bar. And I was only there one time. Go figure. My standards and expectations have plummeted since I've lived here. However, now I make due with Starbucks. Vie de France....ick. I haven't tried Sprinkles coffee but they may be worth a try.

There is a new coffee shop in the shopping center where DSW is right across from Chipolte. I think it is called Quatermain Roasters.

I love this place! The quality of the coffee is excellent so if you're around this area (which isn't too far from you) you should check it out.

BTW, it's off Old Georgetown Rd near Democracy (near Mont Mall).

Order from Peet's online. Seriously. By the way, the Starbuck's in Potomac Village is the worst Starbuck's I've ever encountered.

I appreciate all your comments. I saw Quatermain Roasters today and would love to go there to try latte there.

I did stop by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel coffee bar in May. They have excellent coffee/espresso. I agree.

Lately, I get latte from Nordtrom espresso bar. Not bad.

I like Cariboo better than Starbucks. It's a kiosk near the middle of the mall.
