You do not actually get in-state tuition. DC will pay $10,000 per year towards tuition at participating schools. At some schools, this might be the equivalent of the cost of in state tuition. |
Yeah, so building on what 9:11 said, at a school like U. Va., or U. Michigan, your out-of-state student is still going to be on the hook for $20,000 a year, because those schools really stick it to out-of-state kids. (cash cows; recession!)
Certain other fine state schools, like Wisconsin and Minnesota, will be a better value with the ~$10,000 voucher. |
