Beauty and Fashion
I work in a professional office. I'm just getting back to my pre-preg weight and about half my clothes fit and half don't. I don't want to buy a black pencil skirt to get me through until I lost these last 8lbs. I have a black sateen pencil skirt that falls to my knees. Can I wear it to work? I've worn sateen blouses, but never a skirt to work. Is it too shiny? I can't tell!!
No, too dressy-shiny for work. Would look really wierd.
Agree with PP. Maybe get an inexpensive replacement for the time being.
Unless you're 5, don't wear a sateen skirt to work.
Just go to Target and buy an interim black skirt for $20. Don't go with the sateen. In addition to being inappropriate for work it will probably not do your figures any favors.
Thnx all. Yeah, I figured it probably wouldn't work. Its actually a really thick material...not actually sateen I guess but it has that sheen to it. Its also got a little bit of drapping in the front. It looks good on me, but you're right...not for work. I will start wearing it again to go to dinner, if that ever happens again!
