basketball for 5-year old..where

Does anyone know of any leagues/classes for a 5-year old boy?

We are in Arlington and I saw that the leagues don't start until first grade. This is the one sport he is VERY interested in and from a soccer family I know nothing about local basketball leagues, camps, etc.

We are willing to go to DC or VA...

Not sure about places in VA or DC, but Rockville Sportsplex has basketball leagues/lessons starting at 4.

The YMCA has leagues for 5 year olds.

Montgomery County Dept of Recreation has a K basketball program - maybe Arlington County does, too?

Arlington Co. rec has 'first grade' listed as the first avail. age to start...hmmm...

strange---but the Arlington one does not have basketball during the winter---only spring, summer and Fall. I always think of it as a winter sport.
