Canceled cycle to avoid OHSS, but might still O?

Went in today for sono after starting gonal-f and RE canceled my cycle to avoid OHSS. I do have one mature follicle though and the RE said I might still ovulate on my own without the trigger. Anyone else have this happen? Did you ovulate or did you end up on progesterone to bring on your next cycle?

I had an IUI cycle with Clomid canceled due to risk of OHSS. Yes, you can still ovulate, but even if you do you are supposed to avoid pregnancy all together in order to avoid OHSS. I was told by my RE I shouldn't try to get pregnant at all. After that cycle I had to take a month off as we needed to re-evaluate course of treatment because I had vision side effects from Clomid. I only took it for 3 days but apparently I had such a strong response from it that my estrogen levels were sky high.
