Yesterday I found out that I'm pregnant. I'm only a couple of weeks. Now I am having cramps -- its like period cramps, although not as bad. Its not sharp pains, just kinda achiness. Is this normal? I'm hoping it is. If so, how long will it last? |
I think it's normal to have some cramps early on. Your uterus is stretching to accomodate the baby. However, if the pain is really bad or you are bleeding, you should call your doctor promptly. Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy! |
I think it can be quite normal. Search for it, there's a few threads on this even recently. |
Yep, I had those. I was convinced I was going to get my period any moment. I think they lasted a couple of weeks -- a month tops. |
Totally normal. I'm 12 weeks and I occasionally still get a little twinge. |
I had the same thing. I also had extreme round ligement pains (so bad I went to the ER) later on (week 15 especially) So don't be too scared if that happens to you! |
I had really bad, strong cramps worse than any previous PMS from the time I should have gotten my period up until about 10 weeks. I went to the Dr. to just be safe and they did a bunch of tests incluing sono, and all turned out okay--just implantation cramps, possibly exacerbated by a benign cyst on the ovary. It was definitely made worse by any waistband that was fitted or tight--I started using a rubberband and the Bella Band within a few eeks of pregnancy because of it. You can always call your Dr. to be sure, but the main signs of danger once you know you are pregnant would be bleeding, severe cramping, cramping or pain on only one side (ectopic pregnancy) and of course if you get a fever with any of the above. |
This sounds normal to me. It could also be gas pains (not my most favorite of pregnancy side-effects!) which -- to me --- feel similar to period cramps and sometimes even more painful. |
