Infertility Support and Discussion

We're doing TI with gonal-f. This is my first cycle on injectibles and I'm wondering how many follicles will cause the RE to cancel. I'm 29, mild male factor issues. I had about 4 not quite mature follicles (biggest 15mm) when I went in today with many other less mature follicles. They kept telling me my estrogen (from last wk) was high and it was important to monitor me closely. Don't know today's estrogen levels, but I'll go back either tomorrow or Wed for sono and b/w. We had to cancel our last cycle (clomid) due to lack of response, and I'd hate to cancel again. We're at CFA if that matters.
I saw a previous post about number of follicles and IUI, didn't know if it was different with TI or about the same? |

At 29, 4 would be the maximum I would go forward with, even with mild MFI. At your age, there's a pretty good chance all 4 of those are capable of fertilization and you are certainly at risk for more than one fertilizing.
At 39, my RE wanted to cancel my IUI cycle with 4 follicles! |
