TTC herbs and side effects?

Anyone tried a herbal route and had side effects? My herbalist has given me a mixture w/ Dong Qoi (spell?), and I have had severe diahrrea.

This is something you should talk to your acupuncturist about sooner rather than later - call the office rather than waiting for your next appointment. It may be completely unrelated, but if there is a connection, he or she will likely want to change your formula or your dosage.

Yes- the herbs made me have to go to the bathroom constantly. Make sure to talk to your doctor if you're taking regular medications because herbs can add and mess with estrogen, so many ask you to stop taking them.

Yes, he stopped them. Said very, very few people have that reaction. Guess I'm "special." Lovely.... Or could be I ahve sufficient etsrogen and don't need more. There must be another reason...

Many herbs cause a "healing crisis". Any micro-organisms that die-off will most likely cause you to have diahrrea. It is usually only temporary. Activated charcoal should help immensely.
