FYI: Appletree applications for 2011-2012 are available online as of this am.
Best of luck to everyone! |
| Good luck new toddler parents, def. take a tour! We came very close to going to Appletree in CoHi, it really looks like a great little preschool, but the parking, dropoff situation was not good for us and we got into a closer school that we liked. We were REALLY far down on the wait list this year and did get a call just before school started - I think a lot of families like Appletree but maybe don't live close by and make other plans. I think we would have been happy there. Best of luck. |

OP and 14:45, thanks for the info.
Toured Eastern High one over the summer (but looking for next year). Looked good -- but we Columbia Heights is more workable for us. We would also need to drive (as it is not actually that convenient). What is the parking/dropoff situation in CH? Thanks. |
| Parking drop off situation is not as bad as you would expect for Columbia Heights. Because it is staggered we have never had a problem or a ticket. Basically there are about 5 spots behind the school and several street spots. We have been there for 2 years and have loved it. My son has made tremendous progress and asks to go to school every day. Really one of the best finds in DC. |
