She doesn’t owe anyone info about her health or pictures of what she currently looks like. I would guess that she’s terribly self-conscious right now about the visual consequences of her health issues.

My hunch is based on the following 1) google pictures of her with the finger bandages, they are from multiple years. clear signs of bulimia. 2) she looked noticeably thinner in Sept-Nov of 2023 vs earlier in the year 3) if you take the car pic with her mom as real, her face appears to have gained weight 4) there is sensitivity with revealing bulimia / eating disorders because of Diana 5) eating disorder treatments take a long time and are consistent with the timeframe originally given

Also no one visited her in the hospital. Not Wills. Not Mom or Dad. Not Pippa. No one.

As the PR disaster gets worse, KP decides to release a photo for Mother’s Day. Either they don’t have a recent photo, particularly if Kate has been either ill or absent since Christmas. Or do they intentionally do a bad photoshop job on an old photo intending to blame Kate - the fact that Will is credited as photographer almost suggests it - does he ever “snap family shots”? I don’t follow them, but it seems like most Christmas/Father’s Day/family photos are credited to a professional photographer. If they wanted to insinuate Kate was responsible/insult her “hobby” it would have to be a family snap.

Listen PP, I get that you are giving her empathy. But the reality is that this is EXACTLY what she signed up for. It's why multiple other exes of both princes abandoned the relationships. It's why MM had a nervous breakdown and basically fled the country. It is a very difficult impossible standard to uphold but it IS the standard and it is one that KM understood very very clearly before going into this arrangement. Which is why she was out there hours after giving birth. She gets it.

The argument isn't about whether or not that is right or reasonable its about what changed. Even with the eating disorder theory there remains deep questions. The fact that she appears completely unwilling to take ANY current photo speaks to something being deeply wrong. Puffiness and weight gain could be photoshopped well and easily and not result in the photo being flagged by news agencies. She could pose in a way that did not show her stomach at all and the public would understand. Her not showing her face is INTENTIONAL. And short of her having had a major facial trauma/injury I don't see any possible explanation beyond her refusal to show it. And outright refusal to show her face, to me, seems like a bargaining chip.

If this was an eating disorder thing she would want the speculation to go away and she would work with them to create some photo that she could live with that would get things to die down. She KNOWS the public wants proof of life. She's saying no. And that is not the KM we have known for the last like, 20 years. So what changed?

These agencies have issued kill orders on photos before, but never photos *released by the subjects of the photos.* That's what is weird. There have been photos that have gotten circulated and then it was revealed they were altered or inaccurate, and news agencies will issue a kill order to get them out of usage when it's revealed that they are misleading. These photos have, in the past, been either third party photos or altered and distributed by third parties. For instance there was an incident where a third party doctored Harry & Meghan's holiday card and AP ran a kill order on the doctored version. NOT on the original version released by H&M.

In this case, KP released the photo and it was run by all the major news agencies. Then the issues with the photoshopping were raised and it looks like AP, at least, went back to KP and said "it looks like this photo has been manipulated in a way that violates our photo standards, can you give us a clean copy without manipulation to replace it?" and KP refused. And THAT is what led to the kill order, because it's fishy ah. It looked extremely likely that KP had altered the photo in order to make it look more recent than it was, and released it specifically to silence accusations that something was very wrong with Catherine. They couldn't provide a clean replacement because it would have made it obvious why they altered it in the first place.

So no, actually, this is a very unusual circumstance and I really cannot think of another situation to compare it to.

Are people saying she is a liar? I feel like the vast majority of the criticism is of KP and potentially William himself. I definitely don't think Catherine is the one who released this photo (how would she even? I really doubt she even has unmitigated access to the Instagram account and could post to it without running everything through their press office). I also don't believe she altered it (why on earth would this woman, while recovering from surgery, sit around making a photo from November 2023 appear more recent by trying to gently make her daughter's skirt appear plaid? with?), and I don't believe she wrote the statement about editing photos and apologizing for the confusion.

Someone is definitely lying here. I don't think it's the woman we have not seen or heard from in two and a half months.
