Girls looked good on the field the weekend so far. I don't have a boy player all no idea on that front tournament wise; but I was expecting a lot more losses when I heard basically the whole girl's side was in WAGS this year because that's not a gimme tournament.

Lol. It's surprising how average some of the top NVA teams have become. They shed most of the players from the days of the top RED team out of academy. You would think that with access to the ECNL top team for girls, they would attract top talent, but as they go up the ladder, the effectiveness of the club declines. If you look on here, the parents just rag on the coach. What I see is kids not being taught how to play while other kids catch up.

VRSC emerged during this tournament despite not winning many games. The teams performed relatively well in top level brackets. Even when they lost, it was not by many goals. This will be a successful year for VRSC because they've shown they can now compete with the best teams. It only will get better from here because they will steal all the other top players from other clubs around the area.

I agree with this. It’s only up from here. I thought they did better than expected given most of the teams are new and need time to gel.
