Prediction: Heights knocks off DM

These are the tie breaker criteria used in the MIAA and other lacrosse programs across the country. Most likely WCAC uses the same/similar criteria for tournament seeding.

https://miaahandbook.com/

TIE BREAKERS
Tournament and Playoff Seedings

````````````````````
1 Division - 2 teams tied:
Head to Head (record only-not score)
Record vs. Teams Above (starting with 1st place)
Record vs. Teams Below (starting with team below tied teams) See Sport Specific Tie Breaker, if applicable
Playoff game to determine who gets in
(Coin flip only for seeding purposes-Winner of coin flip gets higher seed)
````````````````````
1 Division 3+ teams tied

Combined record vs. tied teams
Record vs. Teams Above (starting with 1st place)
Record vs. Teams Below (starting with team below tied teams) See Sport Specific Tie Breaker, if applicable

In the event of a three-way tie, the three-way tie breaker will only be used to select the first advancing team. The remaining berth(s) will be decided using the two-way tie breaker rules.

If tie remains after above criteria, a three-way coin toss, odd team receives a “bye”, two remaining teams play and winner plays the “bye” team in a single elimination play-in game.
````````````````````
See Sport Specific Tie Breaker
Tie Breaker for Lacrosse
If the tie breakers listed on the preceding page does not determine seedings, then:
Least amount of goals allowed among tied teams
Least amount of goals allowed vs. teams above (starting with 1st place)
When you have to say this on a daily basis, it's clearly not true.
Don’t hate the player hate the game
If The Heights could not knock off a public school from Frederick County, how are they going to knock off the Stags?
Maybe. But Heights just played DeMatha Friday and lost by a lot. What's driving that turnaround?
You tend to develop a serious dislike for that school if you attended Blessed Sacrament or were/are part of that parish. GZ was playing on a Sunday after a pretty close game v SJC Friday night. Its not a back to back tilt, but its still not an easy turn around this far into the season. Not an excuse, but that might be why GZ looked tentative.
You Blessed Sacrament comment is ridiculous and shows you are clueless.
Anonymous wrote:Lots of crazy IG posts this week on both sides of the SJC/GZ rivalry - going after certain players, calling out kids who have been expelled from both schools, very personal attacks. And seems to be from both sides. But much of it is through anonymous accounts. So who knows who is actually behind many of these posts. I know great kids from both schools. And obnoxious idiots from both schools.
fair and valid point
IF your school, let alone your team, had already had disciple issues earlier this season that led to 3 being kicked off wouldn't you try and be on your best behavior? No. I guess you target a little girl who wasn't a part of the competition in any way at all? Same team had to discipline multiple team members over another conduct violation while down in Texas and all the kids had to do was sit out a single match. Where's the 'men for others' crowd now? Picking on little girls is ok and no discipline for the offenders? Such a bad, bad example being set for these boys by the adults supervising them at Gonzaga.
calling out an individual player on a rival team whose own sibling has Down syndrome is pathetic and very cruel.
shame on the Gonzaga community yet again this year.
Men for others... give me a break... more like Men who think they are above others...
Is there proof that this was done by a Gonzaga player? Please provide.
There is no proof it was a Gonzaga student. Could have been anyone, including a SJC kid.
It could have been anyone technically but cmon. SJC kids and zaga kids were going at it and some zaga lax player or not tried to be funny and cross the line. No other school was involved in the comments and no sjc kid would do that to someone from their own school.
Again, you have no proof of who actually did the deed. So stop speculating. Maybe stick to other subjects like lacrosse.
