Infertility Support and Discussion
I'm a patient of Dr. Sacks but am considering trying a cycle with Cornell. Has anyone had experience with doing the monitoring at CFA? How did it work? Thanks.
Maybe things have changed at Cornell, but when I was a patient there a couple of years ago they did not allow me to do local monitoring.
I cycled with Cornell/CRMI twice from OOT and was able to cycle locally for the first few days of stims. For the fresh cycle, I went in to GIVF (big mistake don't go there!) on CD2 and CD4. Had to be in NYC on CD5. If CFA is willing to do it & you have flexibility with lodging/travel then it can definitely work. For the natural FET my first day up in NYC was CD9 I think?

Off topic, but I am curious as to the reason you are going to cycle at Cornell, and/or your experiences at CFA. We are at CFA too and considering Cornell/CCRM, etc, and would be good to get another perspective from someone going through this (awful) experience.

I'm the original poster - responding to 9:10. I like CFA and Dr. Sacks, but am a poor responder. After multiple failed cycles, I want to try something else before moving to DE. Cornell seems to have slightly different protocols and lots of experience with poor responders. I'd welcome any feedback from those who know both places.
Dr Davis at Cornell allows patients to start monitoring locally. I think dr rosenswaks at Cornell makes you do all monioring at Cornell. Also just as an FYI when I cycled at Cornell the first couple monitoring days were bloodwork only (no ultrasound)
