Does anyone know of a good place online or not, to get a light double stroller? I only put "umbrella" because i figured they were the lightest.
Thanks in advanced! |
I think Toys R Us carries the Kolcraft/Jeep stroller in a double version for ~$80. We bought the McClaren twin Techno because we wanted reclining seats and something a little sturdier. I think it was $225 at BBB. We've been happy with it. That said, it is not "light," but I don't think any doubles really are. It does, however, fold up quite small and compact for a double, which I love. |
Look on Craigs list. For many families these are of use for only a year or so. By the time your oldes it 4.5, they're really not going to be worth the hassle. |
We actually bought the Jeep double stroller the pp is talking about, but ended up returning it for 2 reasons. 1. it does not have over the shoulder straps, just a lap belt. This would have worked for my almost 3 year old, but not for my almost 1 year old. 2. it has no baskets underneath. Not a necessary thing, but nice! We ended up getting the Chicco umbrella stroller. I think it is this one:

Funny, but because of the title, there is an advertisment for one on the side of this.
What I did was take two umbrella strollers, and got some Clips from Burlington Coat Factories children sections, and clipped the two together. It wasn't the absolute greatest, but for times when I only need one umbrella stroller, I had it. The strollers cost me $9.99 (each) and the clips were the same price, so I had myself a double stroller for thirty dollars. |
haha, i see the ad. Thanks all for your reply! |
