Health and Medicine
| I just moved to town and have found a pediatrician for my DD, but now need to find a GP and OB/GYN for myself. I would normally just find a doctor affiliated with the "best" hospital in town, but I've received mixed opinions on what is the best hospital in NW DC. Any insight would be awesome...TIA!! |
| I use Reiter & Hill for my OB and have been happy with them. It is a big practice but I received great care when pregnant with my two daughters and through their delivery at Sibley (both delivered by males docs, despite all the women there!). Dr. Loveland is a great doctor, and I also enjoy seeing the RN (or is it nurse practitioner?) Laurie Lieumox (probably spelled that wrong) for annual visits. Office on 19th St and in Chevy Chase. |

Reiter Hill is good for OB/GYN.
Try Mary Callsen for your primary care doc: http://www.physicianassociatesmd.com/doctors.cfm?mode=doctors&doctor=callsen |

Third rec on Reiter Hill. I like Dr Loveland and Muangman there (both women).
Totally disagree on Dr Callsen. She was my primary years ago and could NEVER see me when I was sick. When I got in, I had to wait forever to barely even see her. Plus several times I had to take a survey assessing how frequently I got sick that I was certain was to see if my managed care insurance payment to them was worth keeping me as a patient. |
| Highly recommend Dr. Susan Hurson on New Mexico Avenue for OB/GYN - doesn't take any insurance, tho |
| Dr. Kristin Thomas w/ Foxhall Internists on New Mexico for a GP. Very smart and thorough, though she doesn't take insurance. |
