Where to buy potato flour?

Anonymous
My new au apir has some Polish items she'd like to bake for us, but she needs potato flour as one of the ingredients. Not surprisingly, I can't find it at Giant - but I also don't see it at Trader Joe's. Does anyone have any leads? We're in Silver Spring. Thanks!

Potato starch flour (assuming is the same thing?) can be found at Whole Foods by their gluten free flours and baking goods.

Giant has a pretty decent gluten-free section - you might even try again there. Bob's Red Mill makes a lot of the individual types of flours.

I used potato flour in a recipe for cupcakes. We got it at Whole Foods. I was surprised how much it tasted like potato. Not cool for cupcakes. You may have a different experience.

If you're doing gluten free baking it's best to use a mix of flours, or a pre mix (Whole Foods has a mix by Gluten Free Pantry which is good).

However, the OP wants the flour for a polish recipe. Different story.

I can't believe potato flour would taste like potatoes! Who would have thought?
