Infertility Support and Discussion
Has anyone switched from Shady Grove to Dominion? Do they require you to re-run all the initial tests? I'm planning to go for an initial consultation at Shady Grove since my insurance will pay for it and have all the tests run (bloodwork, etc) to figure out what is keeping us from concieving. After that, I am hoping to go to Dominion if NCIVF is an option. Will Domion just look at all the test results from Shady Grove or will they insist on re-running everything again? I'm new to all this. Thanks!
I switched to Dominion after going to two other places who did all the tests. I didn't have to do anything at Dominion except for just a standard bloodwork required for an IVF.
They only wanted me to do bloodwork and an ultrasound.
12:43 poster here. I also had to do a mock embryo transfer.
Dominion accepted most of my tests done at another facility, just needed to update some blood work and do a mock embryo transfer. I was nervous about switching clinics, but it was definitely the best option for me, we did NCIVF and I'm 9 wks pregnant. I was really turned off by my original clinics dismissal of NCIVF, but since we were only dealing with MF I thought it made sense. turned out to be a good deal as well.
I switched to Dominion from SG and it was very smooth, no issues with most of the tests that SG did.

Dr D, himself, has said that they don't like to make people go through anything more than they have to. They make these switches routinely and accept most all results than can be put on paper.
Of course you need to go through the mock transfer...because they have to get the 'lay of the land' so to speak. |
