stupid question about trigger shot

Anonymous
I know that for a woman who ovulates normally, you only ovulate out of one side each month. Does that change with the trigger shot? Do you still only ovulate out of one side or do you ovulate out of both?

If ovulate on whatever side you have ripe egg(s)-- normally, that's one egg on one side (with fraternal twins I *think* it can be two).

If you're on hormones (injectables for IVF, and I imagine with IUI as well) you ovulate the eggs that are ripe... typically, that would be on both sides.

A trigger shot should release all mature eggs from developed follicles - whether upon one or both ovaries.
