DC Public and Public Charter Schools

There have been incidents at the high-schools where the most recent FACEBOOK page called Highschool Hoes [misspelling] have created serious confrontations. At one high-school the posting was of the school's dance-team and the taunting created all types of backlash. Then at another school, when the principal was confronted by parents of the affected students about accusations; it was summarily dismissed as over-reacting. Unfortunately, that sent that parent brigade into a tirade.
What is ironic that the most innocent picture of the students are being tagged with the most outrageous and insulting titles. Example a group of young-ladies took a snap-shot at their homecoming dance and by the weekend it was tagged as Homecoming Hoes of DCPS. Some principals have taken strong initiatives to curtail the situations but it requires collaboration and cooperation from parents, schools, community and the FACEBOOK administrators. |

It's facebook.com/WHAT?
I'm not finding anything close. TIA. |
| I must say DCPS were very proactive and they have had the facebook page deleted. There was a page dedicated to Woodson, Ballou and Eastern and with the potential of hotbed of negative issues. The principals of Eastern and Woodson were "johnny on the spot" and made the leadership decisions and inquiries to rectify the situation. |
| FACEBOOK havoc has reached TC Williams High School and made the washington post. How ironic when it was at three high-schools weeks earlier in DC it was a hush-hush moment. Yet, the majority of the principals from both jurisdictions followed the same procedures to halt such a nuisance. |
