| Does anyone here have experience selling or using Pampered Chef products? If so, what did you like about them, or didn't like? Do you think they are a good investment? |
| I think the products are overpriced, although the quality isn't bad. Plus, you end up pressure-selling your friends and neighbors -- yuck. |
| The quality is fine but I really hate the whole product party thing. If someone I know is selling the stuff, I usually end up looking online to see if there's something I want. That way, I can avoid the party and buy if I'm interested. Overall, though, agreed about the prices. If you are a bargain shopper, you can find similar items for less. |

There are a few items that are really good. I was invited to a party and went just because I really wanted to buy the can opener and the little tiny spatula (great for getting that first brownie out of the pan!) So that was all I bought & I love both items and use them all the time.
As far as selling, hosting parties, etc, that's totally not my thing. The party I went to was fun b/c I have no problem saying no, I'm not buying anything else, and I knew there were 2 things I was going to buy. |
| I like oxo products better. And I hate being invited to selling parties. |

OMG. Is it still in business?
I think the money in those types of businesses is good if you get in early - when the trend is hot and when you are up the chain of command (or whatever they call it). I find it hard to believe you would make much now. I could be wrong, maybe there will be a second "wave." The crap we bought from there fell apart. It was over-priced and poor quality. I felt obligated to buy it because it was a co-worker of my DH at the time (his secretary - so she had the ability to make his life easy or hard). |

We have three things from the Pampered Chef.
1. Apple slicer. I like that it creates 10 slices, instead of the usual 8. And it has a fairly low profile, so it fits in a drawer. 2. Pizza stone. I can't compare it to any others, but we do use it a lot and it elevates frozen pizza to edible.
3. Pizza cutter. Not better or worse than any other one. Dislike going to product "parties" when the hostess is going to be annoyed if I don't buy anything. But that varies with the hostess. |
