11 year old bday outing in Georgetown

Anonymous
DD wants to go out with her 2-3 friends for her 11th bday

I was thinking they could go to Georgetown one afternoon, walk around go shopping, maybe an activity. Then have dinner. Any ideas where to go for an activity and restaurant for this age group? 3 hours should be plenty I hope! Thx

Activities. My kids (now ages 12 and 14) attend school in Georgetown and have gone to bday parties at these places:

For food, I'd suggest checking out

https://www.peacockcafe.com/. Open to having kids dine alone with parents hanging out in the bar area.

My daughter went to a brunch bday party here when around 11/12.

Where do you live? Georgetown is kind of trashy, IMO.

NP and I also want to know where you live. It’s not because it’s trashy, it would be fun and the kids love it. But your DD is really young. It’s fine if this is your neighborhood but don’t do it if you are driving from VA.

My DD and friends love coming from VA and going to Georgetown for the day for all that but they are in HS. There is plenty of time for that later and no reason to start it at 11 unless you live there.

I hate driving and picking them up and now they are taking the metro by themselves.

Crumbs and Whiskers was a big hit for my kid! We have cats at home, but there's something special about being surrounded in that atmosphere. And, of course, the kids love all the photo ops because the cats + the place are so cute and cozy.
