Just curious, what GPA is considered ‘good GPA’ by the end of junior year? DS has 4.4 weighted GPA and 3.9 unweighted. Is it considered decent?

Thank you. I wasn’t sure where it falls in the range. Would it be top 20-25%?

That's a great GPA. Def top 20-25%. Might be top 10% (when you get info about AP scholars or National Merit you might get a better sense).

AP Scholars represents top ___% of AP scores from your school.
The number of NM folks compared to the number of students in the class will also point in the direction of where your student lands.

Is there a published GPA range for this year’s or last year’s seniors at TJ?
My daughter has weighted GPA around 4.35. not sure how significantly it would increase after junior year. I have heard that usually junior year GPA does not change much.

This is not what AP Scholar awards. It is based solely on scores (AP Scholar: Scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams, AP Scholar with Honor: Scores of 3 or higher on four or more AP Exams, and an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and AP Scholar with Distinction: Scores of 3 or higher on five or more AP Exams, and an average score of at least 3.50 on all AP Exams taken). It has absolutely nothing to do with being a top % of the AP scorers at your school.
