18U Softball travel teams in NOVA

My daughter will be a senior in the fall. Her longtime travel team is folding as some players have graduated and others no longer want to play. My daughter wants to keep playing just to keep up her skills for the high school season. But she doesn't want to do much/any travel at this point and she doesn't want to do showcases. And she doesn't want softball to be all consuming this fall.
Are there any A-level teams in NOVA that only play locally and don't do showcases? |

They are B rather than A level, but Firebirds will have 2 local-only or mostly-local 18U teams this fall. The teams show up on the website as 18U Allen (one of the assistants will be taking over in fall and he previously head coached through 18U at B) and 18U Frogale. Both teams are focused on preparing athletes for high school ball rather than pushing for college recruiting.

Mount Vernon Magic maybe. Call Karen Walker.
Most that call themselves A are going to be showcase teams, though. Post in some of the FB groups announcing her availability to guest play. You'll find opportunities. |
