| I am microdosing Tirzep. Only on my second week. Is a side effective being absolutely exhausted? Middle of the day I will be so tired I must lay down, like cant open my eyeballs. does it go away? |
| Welcome to proof of concept that calories are a measure of energy! I went through this on Semaglutide until I realized that you have make it a point to hit a minimum daily calorie goal whether you're hungry or not. Being not hungry just lets you be smart about the makeup of those calories (protein, fiber, etc). |
| Exactly 24 hrs after my weekly shot at the lowest dose, I cannot keep my eyes open for the life of me and must lay down for 30-40 min. Then I feel fine w energy to exercise, walk the dog, etc all rest of the week. It's like clockwork though! |

I wasn't on Tirzep, but I have been on Wegovy for over 2 years. I have had a lot of side effects, and they have been quite rough, but the only one that made me consider going off the medication was the debilitating fatigue. It's a thing.
It eventually got better for me, but it took months. It remember it was bad enough when I first went on it that my DH wanted to go for a walk, like a short 15 minute walk, and he looked at me and "But I'm not sure you can do it?" I did it, but it was really hard to not literally sit down in the middle of it. I remember that as the worst of it, but I'm still more tired than the average person. |
| you need more protein than you think you need. |
Same! |
| Yep it's terrible. Some of it for me is that I get a terrible night sleep the day I take the shot so it's the exhaustion plus fatigue. I find that extra water and protein helps. |
| I'm on 1.25 mg tirz so a very small but effective dose and have not experienced this. If anything I have MORE energy because I think because I'm not lugging the extra weight around all day. |
Me too! |
| Make sure you are eating enough and that you are eating a nutritious diet, but yes, Zepbound makes me more tired than normal, too. Like a PP, it usually lasts the first day or two, and then I'm fine the rest of the week when I have more energy than I used to. |
|
That happened to me for the first few weeks I was on it. I think it's because the appetite suppression hit me like a freight train and I was barely eating. Thus, I had no energy.
Now I've been on it for 18 months. Lost 20 lbs (quickly) and have been microdosing (1 mg/week) to maintain. No longer tired at all; feel better than I have in years. |
